Meeting Nathan Davolt

Jesse, JD, and I took a trip to Portland to meet JD's first cousin, Nathan Jefferson Davolt. We fell in love with the little guy and we had a blast visiting Jeff, Erin, and Jennifer.

Every year the Davolts have a pizza partyish thing. The looser of our March Madness bracket is supposed to buy everyone else pizza. However, David and Melody usually end up paying for the pizza. :)

After the pizza partyish thing we went to the BEACH at Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp.

WHAT? Apparently pictures of potty training are not supposed to be on a blog... They were not dirty or anything but I guess there are some pretty creepy people out there with perverted minds. Oh well. There are a few pics on my facebook https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150305341972518.387691.521767517&saved

Potty Training, Undies, and POOP!

Oh the joys of potty training. We started potty training JD around Memorial Day. It started out really great. We basically did the "Potty Train in One Day" thing, revising it a little to fit our schedule. We told him that he was a BIG boy and that he didn't have to wear diapers anymore because he was going to go potty in the toilet. The first couple days we took him potty every 15 to 30 minutes. Avoiding accidents, for the most part, because we took him so frequently. The first week went really well, JD would usually tell us when he had to go pee and he told us a couple times for poop. THEN he got tired of it. This past week or two we have had a LOT of accidents. As I am writing this JD got really quiet and I asked him if he had to go potty. He answered with, "No, I'm all done." He just peed on the couch! We have tried potty treats, taking away his favorite toy, stickers, time outs, and now spankings. Is there something else to try? I suppose all there is to do is keep up with it. Don't give up, right? Sigh... I'm sooo sick of poop. Swooshing poopy undies in the toilet. Cleaning poop off the wall and shower curtain because he kicked his poopy undies off and it went flying.

On the brighter side, here is a cute little boy and his undies.

He was mad at me.

op... now he is happy

These ones are too big. Way too big.
